Hotchkin as nearest relative at 182 Clarmont, Montclair. He signs the Registration as J. Rowland Hotchkin.". He married Betty Beggs at NJ, USA, on 10 October 1931. James Rowland Hotchkin died on 9 March 1967 at Short Hills, Essex County, NJ, USA, at age 68.3 He was buried at Mount Hebron Cemetery, at Montclair, Essex County, NJ, USA.
James Rowland was a graduate of MIT and manufactured Mechanical Assessories at Irvington, NJ. New Jersey is given as the location of his first SS card and death benefits. At the 1900 census he was a boarder with Mary F. King of 35-38 Grammercy Park, Manhattan, NYC.

James W. Hotchkin was born on 3 August 1875 at IL, USA.1,2 He was the son of James H. Hotchkin and Frances A. Michal. James W. Hotchkin appeared on the census of 1880 at Newfane, Niagara County, NY, USA. The census lists the family as: age 4, with his parents.. He married Ida May Halstead at Newfane, Niagara County, NY, on 19 January 1898. There may be a mistake is this date as her Obituary says that they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary two years before her death..3 James W. Hotchkin registered for the World War I Draft in 1918 while living at Newfane, Niagara County, NY, USA. The registration card gave additional information on him: "He gives his age as 43, born 5 aug 1875. He says that he is a farmer working himself and gives his wife Ida M. as nearest relative.". He died on 11 August 1953 at Webb Nursing Home, Lockport, Niagara County, NY, USA, at age 78. Lockport Union Sun- "James W. Hotchkin husband of late Ida Halstead Hotchkin and son of James H. and Frances Schmidt Hotchkin died on 8-12-1953.".4,5 He was buried at Corwin Cemetery, at Newfane, Niagara County, NY, USA.

James Ward Hotchkin was born on 8 September 1901 at Central City, NE and died 29 July 1970, at Lansing, MI due to cancer of the face. Ward's funeral was held at the Jessen Funeral Home at 1 PM on Friday and burial at Delta Center Cemetery. Social Security records confirm his birth on 8 September 1901 and death in July 1979. He always used the name Ward as does his son. Ward was a local druggist and operated a drug store at 1617 E. Kalamazoo St, Lansing.

Rossville, Westfield Twp., Richmond Co., NY 307 or 309-59-47. He resided at Bergen Point, Hudson County, NJ, USA, in 1903. He died on 24 December 1936 at Milford, Pike County, PA, USA, at age 89. The 1920 census of Bergen Point has he and his wife Maretta, living with her sister, Catherine Saunders; James is listed as age 73, Marietta, age 69 and Catherine, age 51, Catherine was born in Ireland.

Jane D. Hotchkin was born on 23 April 1829 at Liberty, Sullivan County, NY, USA.1 She was the daughter of Joshua Francis (James) Hotchkin and Lydia Novill Grant. She married Ferris G. Sutherland at Liberty, Sullivan County, NY, circa 1850. Jane D. Hotchkin died on 24 August 1885 at Liberty, Sullivan County, NY, at age 56.1 She was buried at Hodge Cemetery, at Neversink, Sullivan County, NY, USA.
The family bible gives her death as 1829 where her gravestone gives 1830. Her marriage to Ferris Sutherland is based on Census Records. All of the information on this family comes from the Brown book, who says that Peggy Sutherland Morgan supplied him the information. Ferris was a plasterer and a farmer wirh 50 acres of land.2

She was married twice, first to Cecil Eugene Welcher, which produced a daughter, born in 1969. Her second marriage was to Thomas Bailey of Brandy Station, VA. She also gave birth to a son in the early '70's, Aaron Welch, of Flint Hill, VA.
Peggy was a good student and a popular girl in her school days. She had many friends and a large family who loved her.
At the time of her passing, she was just 35 years old. Peggy died at Culpeper Memorial Hospital on September 8, 1981.. She was buried at Fairview Cemetery, at Culpeper, Culpeper County, VA, USA. Peggy was the beloved daugther of Gladys Mae Bowen Hotchkin and sister of Fannie Mae Pr***z. She also gave birth to two children, the eldest, Pennie Welcher Rhodes, in 1969 and in the early '70's, a son named Aaron Welch, of Flint Hill, VA.

Jean Ann Hotchkin was born on 28 June 1931 at Sullivan County, NY, USA. She was the daughter of Henry Pipa and Philena Hotchkin. She married Daniel Robert Bonnell at Liberty, Sullivan County, NY, USA, on 15 May 1953.1,2 Jean Ann Hotchkin and Daniel Robert Bonnell were divorced circa 1956 at NY, USA. She married Harold D. Jeanette (Netty) Matilda Hotchkin was born in August 1867 at Troy, Rensselaer County, NY, USA. Her birth location is given in a newspaper article about her and her husbands travels to Alaska. They left Seattle on June 24 1898 on the old New York steamer Portland. They traveled to St Michael's up the Yukon River and back to Seattle by the Inside Passage. It was said that Harry Collins hair turned white on the trip and Nettie's had streaks of white. Mrs Collins said, "it is just awful to even think about it." She said that they lived in a barracks at Rampart, Alaska and the temperature was that cold like evryone presumed.1 She was the daughter of Albert Leet Hotchkin Sr. and Delia M. Smith. Jeanette (Netty) Matilda Hotchkin married Harry John Collins, son of William Collins and Mary Anna McEwen, in 1888 at WA, USA. Marriede 2 years at the 1900 census..
