Ethel Burrus Webster of Lake Glenn Apartments died on Tuesday, April 19, 1977. She will be remembered by many in Caledonia as the manager of the Hart Store on State Street a number of years ago.

She is survived by one son, Clarence Burrus of Groveland, three daughters, Mrs. George (Dorothy) Bancroft of DansvUle Mrs. Charles (Edna) Hell of Ontario, and Mrs. Robert (Mary) Mader of Canandaigua; one brother Alton Pennock of Dansville; two sisters, Mrs. Dewey (Ruth) Perry of Dansville and Mrs. Roy (Goldena) Johnston of Lakeville; 17 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Friends called at the Brown Funeral Heme in Livonia, where services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Memorials may be nude to the Heart Fund or the American Cancer Society..

A service was held Sunday afternoon at the Brown Funeral Home Livonia, for George Franklin Pennock, who died Thursday. Sept. 12, 1963, in Dansville Hospital. The Rev. Donald C. MacLeod officiated and burial was in Union Cemetery, Livonia.

Mr. Pennock was born in 1880 in Ossian, the son or John and Susan Pennock. At one time he was a resident of Lakeville. His wife died nine years ago.

Surviving are one son, Alton of Dansville, four daughters, Mrs. Annis (Ethel) Webster of Coneus, Mrs. Dewey (Vivian) Perry of Dansville, Mrs. Jasper (Vira) Vanderzille of Sodus, Mrs. Roy (Goldena) Johnston of Lakeville, 12 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren..

     She is called Susan E. in 1860 Census, age 5, called Emma in 1870 cenus, age 15, called Emma, age 20 in the 1875 NY State Census, and not with the family in later censuses.
It is likely that this is Emma Pennock, born about 1854 and died 23 Mar 1935 in Kings County, NY as indicated in NY Deaths 1862- 1948, but there is not clear evidence of this data.

     Elizabeth and William were married by Rev James H. Hotchkin. The 1850 census of Trenton, Oneida Co., NY finds her, after the death of her husband William, remarried to Fredrick H. Hopkins, born in 1809, and with her son Samuel B. Hotchkin. Anne Hopkins, grand-daughter of Frederick and his wife Sophia, reports that Frederick and Elizabeth had a daughter Clara and after the death of Elizabeth, Clara and her father moved to Wisconsin and then to Peabody, Kansas.

She is called Edith Hunter on their Marriage Application filed 25 Aug 1955 i Clark, WA.

She is called Maude Hunter Hotchkin in her obituary. Ancestry.com says that she is the daughter of Alvin William and Lucy Vernon Richardson Perkins.
