Rosalind married Emery J. Hey on September 10, 1932. He predeceased her in 1975.
Rosalind taught in the Wappingers Central School System for 17 years and retired in 1970.
She is survived by her daughter, Harriet H. Fetterly of Bridgewater, NJ; her son, Herbert W. Hey of Northville, NY; 8 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, Philip C. Heidt of Wheaton, MD; and many nieces and nephews.
A kind and gentle woman, she will be remembered by family and friends for her love of family, her appreciation for all of nature, particularly birds, and her enjoyment of reading and crossword puzzles. Many have saved her especially beautifully written letters.
Private services and burial have taken place in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, NY.
