The census lists the family as: George Hawk, 37, born IL, parents born IL; works for railroad; wife Doris E., 49, born MO, father born NY, mother born IL; dau Edna B., 6, born IL; son John G., 11, born IL.. He died in March 1959 at Lake County, IN, USA. He was buried at Elmwood Cemetery, at Hammond, Lake County, IN, USA.

This grave is that of Hannah Haynes, wife of Joel Thomas (Jr.) It is very close to her parents' graves, David and (stepmother) Sally Haynes. Her husband and two of her sons moved soon after to Hannah's death to Ashtabula Ohio, where they are buried..
