The registration card gave additional information on him: "Eldredge Berkeley Hathaway, age 40, born 14 Feb 1878, Pressman, Printe at Bradstreet Co, home at 1842 Broadway St, Brooklyn. He is tall, sdlender, brown eyes and brown hair.". He appeared on the census of 1930 at Hempstead, Nassau County, NY, USA. The census lists the family as: Eldredge B. Hathaway, 52, married at 27, born CT, parents born CT, Printer; wife Ella, 48, married at 23, born NY, father born ME, mother born NY; son Allen, 23, elecric typwriter apprentice, born NY; son Harry, 22, secretary at Seed Co; son Robert, 17, born NY, no occup; dau Ella, 12, born NY.. He died on 2 April 1936 at Hempstead, Nassau County, NY, at age 58. Eldredge was a poll worker at a primary elcection and fell dead of a heart attack..1 He was buried at Greenfield Cemetery, at Uniondale, Nassau County, NY, USA.

He died on 21 December 1924 at Brooklyn, Kings County, NY, USA, at age 77. Lived with daughter Pauline and her husband Charles King at 1920 census and was listed as a widower..3 He was buried at Meriden, New Haven County, CT. Ambrose Hotchkiss bible gives the burial location but not the cemetery..
