The census lists the family as: Lena Hotchkin, age 50, b NY; living with her mother Elizabeth Mehler, age 79, widow, born in Germany.. She resided at Troy, Rensselaer County, NY, in 1920. She died on 15 April 1924 at Troy, Rensselaer County, NY, at age 54.1,2

     Lena is called Hellena E. Hotchkin in the NY Death Index #22609. She appears in the Troy city directories of 1919 through 1923 as widow of Wm. and residing at 845 River St.
