Emma is mentioned in her brother Frank E. obituary as living in Eau Claire,MI at the time of his death in April 1928. At the 1870 census she is with her parents in Leslie, Rives Twp., Jackson Co., MI. The 1880 census of Charlotte, Newfane Twp., Niagara Co., NY. finds her with her parents at age 13. The place of her death is supplied by Junella Denslow Reep. Her marriage to Edwin W. Birkholm is recorded in Berrien Co. Vital Records. It says that the wedding took place on 27 November 1889 after obtaining the certificate on 26 November. They indicated that they both lived in Benton Harbor and both were born in Michigan. They were married in Benton Twp. by Rev Clement S. Lester, MG. Witnesses were Freavine Birkholm of Chicago and Nellie Rowley of Saint Joseph, MI. Edwin said that his father was Emil Birkholm and she gave her father as Frank Hotchkin. The records spelled his name as Berkholm.

Ernest Hotchkin married Tina Drefke on 4 February 1903 at Ogden, Lenawee County, MI, USA. At the time of marriage she lived in Ogden and he in Saline according to marriage records. Thes records say that he had one previous mariage and she none. Married by Emit Mason minister of United Presbyterian Church..5 He married Katherine R. Metzger at Saline, Washtenaw County, MI, USA, on 15 May 1908. Ernest Hotchkin appeared on the census of 1910 at Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, MI. The census lists the family as: Ernest Hotchkin, 35 (1874), married once, 2 years, farmer, both parents born in MI; wife Catherine, 43, Married twice, 6 children 6 living, born Germany, both parents born in Germany, naturized in 1883.. He was a Teamster in 1910. He died on 14 August 1914 at Universiry of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, MI, USA, at age 39.

He was married to Rosette Palmer on 16 October 1893 in Ann Arbor, MI by E.B. Pond, J.P. and witnessed by Anna Palmer of Saline and Frank Kennedy of Ann Arbor (Washtenaw Co. Records, Vol 7, pg 140, 1893). His parents were reported as Frank L. Hotchkin and Anna Lane; Rosetta's as Oliver Palmer and Anna Collum. On 15 May 1908 he married Katherine R. Metzgar Maurer at which time he said that he had been married twice before. The wedding was witnessed by M. J. Hotchkin of Milan and conducted by Theo. G. Rapsdorf. There is no information as to the identify of M. J. Hotchkin.

Family records and information from her children gives her birth as 22 March 1892. At the 1910 census she was in the home of David E. Dixon, Grand Ledge, Eaton Co., MI and gives her age as 18, which would confirm the year of her birth date as 1892. She was called Lelia in this census, and that is the name that she has been known by in the family. At the 1900 census of Central City, Lone Tree Twp., Merrick Co., NE her birth is given as March 1892. The Hendrick Family Bible gives 20 December 1916 for her marriage to Frank Afton Wythe.

Eva was born at Aden, Sullivan County, NY, USA, on 19 December 1905.1,2 She was the daughter of William Mead Hotchkin and Pearl May Grant. She married Arlie Joseph Sutherland at Hurleyville, Sullivan County, NY, USA, on 26 September 1925.3 Eva May Hotchkin died on 17 February 1976 at Schenevus, Otsego County, NY, USA, at age 70.1 She was buried at Franklin, Delaware County, NY, USA.

Evaline (Eva) Hotchkin was born on 8 June 1850 at Prattsburgh, Steuben County, NY, USA. She was the daughter of John Daniels Hotchkin and Esther Ann Wheaton. Evaline (Eva) Hotchkin appeared on the census of 1920 at Prattsburgh, Steuben County, NY. The census lists the family as: Hotchkin, Eva S., age 69, living with sister Susan and her husband Charles L. Saunders. 376 131 3 6. She died on 29 January 1944 at Prattsburgh, Steuben County, NY, at age 93.1 She was buried at Prattsburgh Rural Cemetery, at Prattsburgh, Steuben County, NY, USA.

At the 1880 Census of Liberty and the 1892 Census of Delhi, she was living with her mother and second husband Luther B. Hotchkin. At the 1900 census, she is a boarder, on Deposit St., with the Frank Holmes family; at the 1910 census, she is a housekeeper with the Homer Miller family in Ameram, NY, near her half brother George Luther Hotchkin. She remained unmarried.
