     Alice Mary Crossman was born on 14 January 1924 at Syracuse, Onondaga County, NY, USA.¹ She married Kenneth Hotchkin Ennis, son of Laurence Henry Ennis and Grenda Jeanette Hotchkin, on 22 June 1942. Alice Mary Crossman died on 15 September 2007 at Orlando, Orange County, FL, USA, at age 83. 83, of Florida, died September 15, 2007, from complications of Alzheimer's disease. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Kenneth H. Ennis, on the same date in 1976. She was born in Syracuse, NY, and graduated in 1942 from Central Square High School in upstate New York. Following high school, Mary graduated from Onondaga Business School. During World War II, she helped build ship systems while her husband served in the Pacific. Mary worked for Crouse-Hinds and General Electric before moving to Mexico, New York, where she was the lead typist for the Mexico Independent Mirror newspaper. She moved with her family to Seminole, FL, in 1975. Mary was a good athlete and an excellent bowler and golfer. She was a fun-loving mother and could not resist jumping into a good softball or kickball game. An avid reader, after her retirement in 1989 as a clerk for the Pinellas County traffic court (Florida), it was not unusual for her to read a book a week. She is survived by one sister, Betty Jacobson of Cicero, NY; four children, Sonya Fletcher (David) of Orlando, FL, Ray L. Ennis (Fran) of Turtletown, TN, Lori Ann Ennis of St. Cloud, FL, and Mary Beth Widell (James) of Seminole, FL; five grandchildren, Kara Fletcher Ulgenalp, Bill Ennis, Ken Ennis, Michael Knold and Dan Widell; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews..^2,1,3

     She often changed the order of her first and middle names as she aged. It is believed that Alice Mary is correct as that is what was used earlierly in her life.
She was the daughter of Ray and Nina Crossman.
