Caro was born at Watertown, Jefferson County, NY, USA, on 10 July 1872. Age 7 at the 1880 census. the 1900 census of Manhattan, NY gives her birth as April 1875. She was the daughter of William Henry Harrison Hotchkin and Julia Pratt Cooke. Caro Sherman Hotchkin died on 25 November 1887 at New York City, New York County, NY, USA, at age 15. Her death date is given in a 12 April 1912 sworn statement by her mother in regard to William's pension; however, there is a mistake as she is in the 1900 census..2,3
She remained unmarried. Her birth and parents are identified in the Benjamin Cleveland Family Genealogy. Her death is noted in a sworn statement made by her mother Julia P. Hotchkin on 12 April 1912. Caro died in NYC.

Caroline Caldwell Hotchkin was born on 28 January 1844 at Elmira, Chemung County, NY, USA. She was the daughter of Samuel Hotchkin Esq. and Margaret Canfield Doremus. She married Charles Kilborn Williams Strong at Elmira, Chemung County, NY, on 4 October 1888.1 Caroline Caldwell Hotchkin died on 12 May 1892 at Elmira, Chemung County, NY, at age 48. Caroline's father Samuel Hotchkin Esquire was travelling in the East Indies for his Health, when Caroline was born, and Caroline's mother passed a few weeks later. Caroline lost her hearing due to fever, and did not learn to speak. She was adopted after her mother passed by Charles F. Park in Feb. 1844. She married Charles K.W. Strong on Oct. 4th 1888 who was also mute and working at the U.S. Treasury Dept -he passed away in 1891.

The many and beautiful floral offerings showed the high esteem in which she was held. Surviving are her husband, Bert J. Fellows, two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Scheithier of Lockport, and Mrs. Mildred Swick of Buffalo, a son-in-law, Rudolph Scheithier, of Lockport, four grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. John Richards, of Buffalo, and one brother, James Hotchkin of Newfane.. Interment was in the family plot in the North Ridge cemetery. The bearers were William J. Brado, William Jacobs. Edward L. Lafler, Adelbert Sinsel, Burt N. Lafler and Floyd Freatman..3 She was buried at North Ridge Cemetery, at Ransomville, Niagara County, NY, USA.

She made a Passport Application on May 19 1896 on which she gave her birth date and location and said that her occupation was Capitalist. Her sister Nellie J. signed this application as a witness.

The date and place of his death comes from a Memory Card in the Hotchkin Reunion Files. Cecil was buried at Meadow Lawn Cemetery, New Port Richey, FL. Their home address at this time was Hudson, Fl. Junella Denslow Reep says that he was a barber and factory assembler. His wife’s obituary says that he was a foundry worker and that they met in Aurora, IL.
