Virginia Lee Mata, 72, Topeka, died Monday, June 29, 1992, at a Topeka hospital. Mrs. Mata served in the Women's Army Corps from Feb. 17, 1943 to July 5, 1944. She was born Nov. 24, 1919, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rowsey. She had lived several years in Topeka. She was divorced. Survivors include a daughter, Anita Pyles, address unavailable. Graveside services will be at 9 a.m. Monday in Leavenworth National Cemetery. Davidson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements."
