The census lists the family as: Hotchkins, Frederic, 70, (1788), MA, farmer; Nancy, 69 (1800), MA, keep house; Henry G., 31 (1838), MA, farmer; Ann E. Barney, 17, MA, attend school; George L. Barney, 15, attend school.. She died on 23 December 1875 at Lenox, Berkshire County, MA, at age 74. MA Deaths 1795 to 1910 gives a death date of 3 December 1875 in Lenox..5 She was buried at Church on the Hill Cemetery, at Lenox, Berkshire County, MA, USA.

     The 1850 census of Lee, Berkshire Co., MA finds her, her husband and their four children. Her marriage to Frederic Hotchkin is given in Lenox Church Records as January 25 1827. Nancy's death is shown in records of graves of the Old Church on the Hill, Lenox. The Mattoon Family Genealogy says that she was the daughter of John and his second wife Mrs. Prudence Miles.

Oswald Ulrich Maurer married Marcia Hawkes on 15 July 1912 at MI, USA. He was age 24 and she age 27 according to the 1930 census.. Oswald Ulrich Maurer appeared on the census of 1930 at Port Orchard, Kitsap County, WA, USA. The census lists the family as: Oswald Maurer, 42, married at 24, born MI, parents born Germany, machinist at US Navy Yard; wife Mercia, 45, married at 27, born MI, parents born NY; son Sydney, age 8, born WA; dau Ruth, age 4 6/12, born WA.. He lived in 1934 at Port Orchard, Kitsap County, WA. He died on 22 February 1945 at Bremerton, Kitsap County, WA, USA, at age 55. Oswald Ulrich Maurer was born in Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan on February 28, 1889.

He served four years in the US Navy aboard the U.S.S. California as Fireman 1st Class. After his discharge, he worked for the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (Bremerton, Washington) as a machinist.

On July 15, 1912 Oswald married Marcia Hawkes in the Seattle, Washington home of her parents, Elisha Strong and Bertha A Hawkes. (William Hawkes and Lurline Dana witnessed the marriage.) They had two children, Sidney M. and Ruth (born about 1925), while living in Port Orchard, Washington. Oswald and Marcia later moved to Bremerton, Washington.

Oswald Maurer died 22 February 1945 in Bremerton, Kitsap County, Washington
