Hotchkin, age 90, of Grand Ledge, MI, passed away on December 23, 2019. She was born December 10, 1929 in Lansing, MI, daughter of John and Thresa Gertrude (Karasiewiz) Shipski. Dolores was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was an avid bowler, serving as treasurer of her league and enjoyed waterskiing. She loved traveling with her husband Don in their motorhome, wintering in Texas for many years and spending time with her grandchildren.

Dolores is survived by her daughter, sons; 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, sister-in-law and was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Donald and sister Lucille Opdyke.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge. For those wishing, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Arthritis Foundation in memory of Dolores Hotchkin. Talma C Hendrick gives an adopted daughter named Violet Shobe, born Nov 3 1899. Family Search records give an Ethel V. Shobe, born Aug 1882, in Grant Co, WV with a mother Matilda.
