She married Phillip Arthur Erck at Niagara County, NY, in October 1948. Betty Jean Steen died on 20 October 2005 at Newfane, Niagara County, NY, USA, at age 77.2 She was buried at Corwin Cemetery, at Newfane, Niagara County, NY, USA.

     Nancy Valenti writes to say that Betty and her husband had two sons. Her husbands surname was Erck and they lived in Newfane.
