     Oreno was born at Cass City, Tuscola County, MI, USA, on 5 February 1887. At the 1900 census of Masonville, Delta Couty, MI she is age 13, born about 1887..¹ She was the daughter of Charles Theophlis Bennett and Sarah Louisa Hendrick. Oreno B. Bennett died on 24 August 1955 at Delta County, MI, USA, at age 68. She was buried at Rapid River Cemetery, at Woodlawn, Delta County, MI, USA.

RHODA ANN DOWNING'S LIFE MADE STRENUOUS BY WAR AND FIRE.

Mrs. Rhoda Ann Downing, a resident of Tuscola County since 1871, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Asa Root, in Novesta Township on Wednesday, Jan. 19 [1916], after a week's illness. She was 87 years of age.

Rhoda Ann Bennett was born in New York state on Oct. 1, 1828. She was the eldest in a family of eight and only one, T.C. Bennett, a brother, survives her. At the age of 20 years, she united with the Baptist church and continued her membership in that society until her death.

In 1852, she was united in marriage with Hardin C. Downing. Their married life continued for a half century, Mr. Downing passing away 14 years ago on their golden wedding anniversary.

They moved from New York to Ohio in 1856 and came to Cass City in 1871. They continued their residence in this vicinity except for a period of three years which they spent in Texas. They returned here from that state in 1881 just in time to lose practically all their property in the fire of 1881.

Mrs. Downing's life was a strenuous one. Her husband served in the Civil War for three years leaving her with the care and home-making for four little children and her husband's mother. In this she was successful in keeping them comfortable and together. Mrs. Downing was the mother of 13 children, five of whom survive. They are Willis Downing of Detroit, Mrs. Rosa Sweeny of Grayling, Mrs. Frances Hendrick and Mrs. Betsy Hendrick, both of Ellington, and Mrs. Olive L. Root of Novesta. Thirty-seven grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren mourn her death.

Funeral services will be held at the Baptist church at Cass City on Saturday at two o'clock and the interment will be made in Elkland Cemetery. Brief services will be held at the home of Asa Root in Novesta Township at one o'clock.

     William Noble Bennett was born on 19 July 1894 at Lonoke, Lonoke County, AR, USA. Birth location comes fom his WWII Draft Registration. He used the name as Lone Oak. Recods show that this was the original name, later changed to Lonoke.¹ He was the son of William Frank Bennett and Rosella (Ella) Oliver. William Noble Bennett died in February 1983 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, OK, USA, at age 88.

     Electa Euphamia Bennington was born on 1 January 1858 at Dade County, MO, USA. She married William Bradley Hobbs on 23 December 1875 at Dade County, MO.¹ Electa Euphamia Bennington died on 30 May 1946 at Tulsa, Tulsa County, OK, USA, at age 88. She was buried at Greenfield Cemetery, at Greenfield, Dade County, MO, USA.

     Lois Mary Benson was born on 17 April 1931 at Hudson, Columbia County, NY, USA. Age 8 at the 1940 census of Chatham, Columbia County, NY.¹ She was the daughter of Walter Van Ness Benson and Amy Martin. Lois Mary Benson married John Elton Hochkin in 1945. She resided at Columbia County, NY, USA, in 1972. Lois Mary Benson died in February 1991 at age 59. She was buried at Bethlehem Cemetery, at Delmar, Albany County, NY, USA.

     A deed transfer, dated 7 April 1972, in Columbia Co., NY says Lois Benson now Lois Hotchkin, daughter of Walter V. Benson.

     Lucinda Benson was born on 4 February 1830. She married Seeley Ebenezer Buck at Sugar Hill, Schuyler County, NY, USA, on 19 January 1851. Lucinda Benson died on 8 April 1880 at Catlin, Chemung County, NY, USA, at age 50. She was buried at Post Creek Cemetery, at Post Creek, Chemung County, NY, USA.

     Lulu E. Benson was born in 1882 at MI, USA. She married Chauncey F. Fitzgerald, son of Sela Alexander Fitzgerald and Eva Annabelle Hotchkin, on 8 November 1905 at North Adams, Hillsdale County, MI, USA.¹ Lulu E. Benson died in 1955 at Hillsdale County, MI, USA. Benson, 35, married at age 25,teacher at high school, born NY, parents born NY; Amy, 36, married at age 25, born NY, parents born NY; mother-in-law Frances Martin, 77, born NY. He died on 28 November 1961 at NY at age 67.

She married Edward Judson Hotchkin at Pulteney, Steuben County, NY, USA, on 21 June 1835.^4,5 She married Nelson Ball at Pulteney, Steuben County, NY, on 9 June 1844.⁶ Experience Hempstead Benton died on 10 March 1875 at Pulteney, Steuben County, NY, at age 58.⁴ She was buried at Glenview Cemetery, at Pulteney, Steuben County, NY, USA.

     Daughter of Thomas E. Berean and Alice M. Clinton. Her maiden name is engraved on her tombstone.

     Elizabeth (Lizzie) Berg was born in November 1866 at New York City, New York County, NY, USA. She married Charles Elias Hochkin, son of Samuel Abraham Hochkin and Emily M. Clark, on 18 August 1894 at New York City, New York County, NY. Called Elizabeth Matthews in Wedding documents.. Elizabeth (Lizzie) Berg died on 15 October 1906 at New York City, New York County, NY, at age 39.

     She was the daughter of Frederic John Berg and Bridget Mary (Delia) White. She had a first marriage to Charles William Martheus (Marthens). They had one son William George Marthens.
Her daughter Irene E. SS Application calls her Elizabeth Burdge.
At the 1880 census of New York City she is livinh with Robert A. Chapman and his wife Maria W. Chapman and called a daughter. She has 3 sisters Belle, May and Grace and 1 brother Henry.

     She married Frank Roger Hotchkin at Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, CA, USA, on 4 February 1978.¹ She married Bryant E. Wayne at Ventura County, CA, USA, on 20 March 1982. June married Bryant after the death of Frank in the fire..²
