     He was a farmer and a Republican. At the 1900 census he was age 32, single and lived with his parents in Harrison, Potter County, PA. He seems to have had two Middle names. In some documents it is Oak and in others his mother's surname Hendrick.1

Dorothy Holdridge Sick, 75, of County Road 46, RD 2, died Monday (Nov. 23, 1987) in Noyes Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Ossian Feb. 4, 1912, and had resided in South Dansville most of her life. Prior to retirement, she had been the executive housekeeper at the Bernarr Macfadden Physical Culture Hotel in Dansville and also had been employed at the Redwood Restaurant in Naples. She was predeceased by her husbands, Edward Hilsdorf and Eddie Sick. Mrs. Sick was a member of the South Dansville United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a son, Jerry Hilsdorf of Dansville; two step-sons, Eddie Sick of Wayland and Carl Sick of York; two sisters, Mildred Wilcox of Arkport and Ethel Keatley of Avon; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was conducted last Wednesday morning in the South Dansville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Timothy Phelps officiating. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery, South Dansville with arrangements by the Chamberlin Funeral Home. (GCE, December 3, 1987, p4). She was buried at Rogersville Forest Lawn Cemetery, at Dansville, Steuben County, NY, USA.

The census lists the family as: John Holdridge, 37, narried once, 11 years, born NY, parents born NY, farmer; wife Evalena, 26, married once, 11 years,5 children, 5 living, born NY; dau Mildred S., 10, born NY; dau Edith E., 8, born NY; son Lester W., 4, born NY; son Percy J., 2, born NY; dau Ethel M., 1, born NY..
