MacFarlane, 60, born M; no occupation; wife Blanche, 56, born NY; son Richard A; 21, single, born WA. He died on 4 March 1935 at Seattle, King County, WA, at age 65.4 He was buried at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, at Seattle, King County, WA, USA. Walter and his family were not found in the 1920 census because they were living in the Philippines where he was Manager of a US lumber company that was cutting and shipping Philippine mahogany.
He applied for a passport for the trip on 14 June 1916 and sailed on the Empress of Russia on 10 Aug 1916.
