Sarah (Sally) Spencer was born in 1815 at Smithfield, Madison County, NY, USA. Sally is in the 1850 census, age 35 and indicated as Idiotic. There is no evidence that she is a daughter other then her listing in Jacob's family at this census along with Henry, his wife Julia E and their children Cornelia and Joseph. At the 1860 census she is given age 41 and at the 1870 census age 55. She was the daughter of Jacob Spencer and Lydia Anna Howe. Sarah (Sally) Spencer died in 1875 at Smithfield, Madison County, NY. She was buried at Morrisville Rural Cemetery, at Morrisville, Madison County, NY, USA.

It is belived that she remained unmarried. Sarah is called Sally at the 1850 census and living with Jacob. At the 1860 census she is living with Henry and Julia. At the 1870 census she is living with Julia and Cyrus C. Cook.
