He died on 26 January 1912 at Pauls Valley, Garvin County, OK, USA. He died just a week after his father was buried when he was riding to town to get a doctor for his brother's baby. His horse fell over a hog in the road and killed him instandly.
Newspaper says that he was buried in the Pauls Valley City cemetery beside his father who had died in San Diego, CA and buried a week ago.
