Kilpatrick Carter was born in 1802 at Ireland. He married Phalishta (Malacha) Colbert in 1817. He married at age 15.. Kilpatrick Carter died in 1836 at AL, USA.
Kilpatrick is said to have come from Ireland and settled among the Chickasaw's in Alabama about 1817. he was hired by his future wife's fathe Levi Colbert to build a new home at Buzzard Roast, Colbert County, AL. Levi eventually gave the house to his daughter Phalishta. Phalishta's mother was Mintahoyo House of Imatapo. Levi was 1/2 Chickasaw and an important Chief of the tribe.
