COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - Freda Mae Reasoner Barlow of Colorado Springs, Colorado, 86, passed away September 30, 2006 at Pikes Peak Care Center.
Freda was born October 17, 1919 in Muncie, Indiana to Homer Harold and Esta Mae (McDonald) Reasoner. Freda attended Ball State University in Muncie.
She met her husband Paul E. "Gene" Barlow while working at "The City Bookstore" in Muncie. They soon fell in love and were married December 25, 1941.
Their first child, Paul L. Barlow, was born and soon after that her husband had to leave to serve in the Pacific Theatre in World War II.
Freda loved to cook, was a great seamstress and gardener. She played the piano for Sunday School while growing up in Muncie.
Freda spent her life unselfishly giving to her family. She was a beautiful woman inside and out and her passing will leave a huge emptiness in our hearts forever.
Freda is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Paul E. Barlow; their children, Paul L. Barlow, Freda J. Predmore, Anita S. Barlow Akerley, Julia A. (Bob) Dufault; her sister Patricia J. Burton; grandsons, Brett A. (Tracy) Predmore, Mark W. (Amy) Barlow, Brian M. Jeffords and Michael A. Barlow Akerley; granddaughter, Lisa A. Predmore; great-grandsons, Zandler R. Predmore and Tyler W. Barlow; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family received visitors at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colorado on Tuesday, October 3, 2006 from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Following visitation, a service was held at 2:00 p.m.
A graveside service was held on October 6, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. at Union Cemetery in Eaton, Indiana.. She was buried at Union Cemetery, at Eaton, Delaware County, IN, USA.

Daniel Redfield married Elizabeth Graves on 18 March 1728 at Killingworth, Middlesex County, CT. Daniel Redfield died on 11 January 1758 at Killingworth, Middlesex County, CT, at age 50.1 He was buried at Indian River Cemetery, at Clinton, Middlesex County, CT, USA.

     Son of Theophilus and Priscilla Redfield, Daniel resided at Clinton, CT. About 1728 he married Elizabeth Graves. In May, 1746, he was commissioned as an Ensign in the third company under the command of Col Elisha Williams, of Weathersfield, raised for a contemplated expedition against the French in Canada. During a portion of his life, he was a sea captain. His widow died in 1775. They had seven children.

"Ebenezer Redfield, was a sea captain and resided in Clinton. He recognized church covenant in 1731, and on the 30th November 1741, he married Hannah Colton, probably daughter of Daniel Colton of Guilford. On the 4th January, 1766, his house took fire, and in the effort to save one of his children from the flames, he was so badly burned as to cause his death in a few hours. He was 53 years of age at the time of his death.".2 He was buried at Indian River Cemetery, at Clinton, Middlesex County, CT, USA.

In his pension application dated 29 Oct 1838 he says that he was age 94 on 15 Sep last which does not agree with this date. He was the son of Theophilus Redfield and Mary Buell. Levi Redfin Redfield was a Drum Major, andserved in Capt Samuel Steven's Company, Col samuel Mott's Regt of the CT Militia, during the Revolutionary War. He died on 15 September 1838 at Bainbridge, Chenango County, NY, USA, at age 93. He was buried at Old United Presbyterian Church Cemetery, at Otego, Otsego County, NY, USA.

     Lydia Redfield was the daughter of Theophilus Redfield and Priscilla Grinnel according to Edward Leete. After the death of Joseph, Lydia married a family friend, Levi Leete, at Branford, CT on 15 November 1753 and they lived in East Guilford. Lydia and Levi had no children. Guilford records show Lydia appointed as guardian of her minor daughter Abigail and son Thomas.
     Lydia is a certified descedant of the Mayflower family John Alden and Priscella Mullins.9

Peleg Redfield was a Private, andserved in Capt Stanton Company, Col Humphrey Regt of the CT Line, during the Revolutionary War. He married Mary (Polly) Judd on 5 July 1787 at Killingworth, Middlesex County, CT. Peleg Redfield died on 26 May 1852 at Clifton Springs, Ontario County, NY, USA, at age 90. PELEG REDFIELD (born March 1761 -died May 26, 1852 in Manchester- Clifton Springs, NY). He entered the Continental Army as a fifer in 1777 at the age of 16, and served the entire Revolutionary War at New Haven, White Plains, and at Yorktown. In March 1782, he

After the war he selected a tract at Coonsville near the present village of Clifton Springs, Ontario County, New York. After finishing his military service, he returned to his home in Killingworth, Connecticut and shortly after that moved to Suffield, where married on July 5, 1787, Mary Judd October 25, 1844) of Farmington, Connecticut, the daughter of Heman Judd. He prospered, became a member of the Baptist Church, and a highly respected member of the community.
Before the Revolutionary War he had been inoculated for smallpox. Strangely enough, smallpox brought his end. It had become his custom to nurse any person in the vicinity that had contracted the disease. At the age of 92 he walked a mile and a half to a neighbor's home to nurse him. He took the disease and died of the effects, the immunity in his system now exhausted. Peleg and Mary were the parents of 10 children..1 He was buried at Pioneers Cemetery, at Manchester, Ontario County, NY, USA.

In 1759 he took a commission as Captain and let a company of ninety men for the prosecution against the French in Canada. Peleg died of smallpox during his return to his home in Killingworth, CT, leaving his wife Sarah (Dudley) with six children: Beriah; Sarah; Ebenezer; Abigail (q.v.); Lydia; and Roxanna.. He was buried at Old Killingworth Cemetery, at Killingworth, Middlesex County, CT, USA.

     He is identified as Capt. in the Genealogy of the Redfields by Lewis H. Redfield, NY, 1819.
