Samuel is now in Las Animas Co., CO.. She died on 25 June 1931 at Medicine Lodge, Barber County, KS, USA, at age 79. Winfield Daily Courier gives a death date of 25 June 1935 and location of death as Medicine Lodge, KS..3 She was buried at Union Cemetery, at Winfield, Cowley County, KS, USA. Compiler viewed these gravestones.

Mrs. Virginia Hart
Mrs Virginia Hart, 79, of St. Petersburg, Florida died Wednesday night in the Bay Front Medical Center in St. Petersburg. She had been in very good health until nearly three weeks ago when she suffered a stroke.
Born in Russell County, Virginia, Mrs. Hart lived in Castlewood, Virginia for several years and then moved to Kingsport in 1928. Her first husband, Floyd N. Fields, died in 1940. Mrs. Hart moved to St. Petersburg about 20 years ago.
While in Kingsport she was a member of the Mafair United Methodist Church and in Florida she was an active member in the Christ United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. R. C. (Retha) Bevins of Cedar Lake, Indiana, Mrs. Glen (Myrtle) Moorehouse of Kingsport, three sons, Ernest W. Fields of New Vernon, New Jersey, Alden H. Fields of Kingsport, R. W. Fields of San Francisco, California; two sisters, Mrs. Etta Salyer of Castlewood, Virginia and Mrs. Ella Dingus of Kingsport; three stepchildren of Nashville; 13 grandchildren and 118 great-grandchildren.
The body will be returned to Kingsport and funeral arrangements will be announced later. Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home is in charge.

"Mrs. Julia Ann Witherell, aged eighty-eight years died today. She came to Muskegon in '47 with her husband, J. C. Witherell, who built and operated the first sawmill in this city, it being on Mona Lake. He also built the first three mills on Muskegon Lake, which afterward became famous for it's numerous saw mills.

She had been sick and blind since March 25, 1870. Mrs. Witherell was born in Aurora, Stueuben County, N.Y on the 24th of October 1807. She came to Soulesville, Mich., fifty-six years ago, from thence with her husband to Grand Haven and thence to Mona Lake, where her husband built the first saw-mill, making use of the small stream for water power. Mr. Witherell was a carpenter ans assisted in building some of the first mills in Muskegon, particularly that of Wm. Lasely, the father of S. H. Lasley, now register of deeds. Mr. Witherell died in 1851."
