     Hattie's married name came from a letter that the Compiler's mother wrote to Sanford Witherell. She remembered Aunt Laura who had a daughter Hattie and she thought that her married name was Coombs. The Compiler found her in the 1900 census with a husband Frank. Mother said that she thought that they lived in Michigan but they are still in Burns, NY until the 1930 census.
