The 1910 census of Benton Harbor, Berrien Co., MI finds her described as Clara M., with her brother and sister living in the home of William Seel or Seal. This census calls them boarders and step children. She is mentioned in the funeral records of her brother Harold and her name and address given as: Roa Weller, Battle Creek, MI.

He was the son of Benjamin Lincoln Hotchkin Dr. and Lillian (Lillie) Mary Windes. Merritt Windes Hotchkin appeared on the census of 1910 at Chicago, Cook County, IL. The census lists the family as: 1910 Census, Chicago, Cook Co., IL, 078-1046-0379; Hotchkin, Merritt, age 23, b IL, father b IL; brother Harry, age 16, b IL; sister Helen, age 12, b IL; aunt Dora Hohlman or Zohlman, age 48, b AL; cousin Henrietta Hohlman or Zohlman, age 10, b IL, and 4 non-related.. He married Amy Charlotte Alderman after 1910. Merritt Windes Hotchkin registered for the World War I Draft on 31 December 1917 while living at Chicago, Cook County, IL, USA. The registration card gave additional information on him: "He gives his name as Merritt W. Hotchkin, born 12 Jan 1887 in Chicago, IL. He is a Mine Manager at Dominion Molyledium Ltd in Guyon, Canada. He is single and has no dependents and is healthy.". He married Amy Charlotte Alderman on 3 July 1918 at Chicago, Cook County, IL.¹ Merritt Windes Hotchkin died on 22 February 1961 at Barrie, Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada, at age 74. According to a message from Bill Glover of Kenogami, Ontario Canada. Merritt is listed on a 1911 Census of Canada where is a 24 year old Prospector Haileyburg, Ontario Canada. Mr Glover claims that Hotchkin Lake near were he lives is likely named after Merritt.

Samuel Franklin. At that time her occupation was listed as office work and his as a cutter in knitting mill. The 1900 census found her with her parents in Liberty, Sullivan Co., NY.

     Mildred Clara Hotchkin was born on 2 July 1912 at Maryville, Nodaway County, MO, USA.^1,2 She was the daughter of Dick Ernest Hotchkin and Charlotte Sarah (Lottie) Hepburn. She married Frederick G. Maier at MO, USA, circa 1935. Mildred Clara Hotchkin died on 24 March 1994 at Minneapolis, Hennepin County, MN, USA, at age 81.¹ She was buried at Miriam Cemetery, at Maryville, Nodaway County, MO, USA.

     Minnie Hotchkin was born in 1861 at Liberty, Sullivan County, NY, USA.¹ She was the daughter of Sarah Ann (Sally) Hotchkin. Minnie Hotchkin married John A. Kortright on 12 January 1882 at Woodbourne, Sullivan County, NY, USA.² Minnie Hotchkin died on 20 June 1927 at New Rochelle, Westchester County, NY, USA.¹ She was buried at Liberty Cemetery, at Liberty, Sullivan County, NY, USA.

     Minnie's father was a Mr Hodge who left the country according to Brown. Minnie’s marriage license used the name of Hotchkin, not her mother’s husband, Daniel Bonnell. Goeffrey Brown says that William Mead Hotchkin remembered her with a bequest of $100 in his Will.
Further proof of Minnie's identity is the attached newspaper clipping show the settlement of her mother's estate.³

     Information on this family comes from their marriage license and the birth certificate of son Thomas B.Hotchkin. Monroe was born in Ann Arbor and Lurette in New York. On the birth record, she is called Nettie. School records show that Monroe attended school in Ann Arbor.

The census lists the family as: Hotchkin, Miron, age 43, b 9-1856; wife Julia E., age 42, b 3-1858 in NY; son George M., age 15, b 5-1885 in NY.. He died on 29 July 1915 at Cassville, Paris Twp, Oneida County, NY, USA, at age 57.^1,2 He was buried at Sauquoit Valley Cemetery, at Clayville, Oneida County, NY, USA.

     The 1870 census finds him in Paris, Oneida Co., NY., age 13, with his parents, and attending school. His grandson, George Hotchkin of Cassville, NY gives added information on this family and says that the information comes from an old bible, which furnishes a first name of Miron, not Myron. The Paris Town Clerk gives a date of 29 July 1915 for his death and George’s bible records and a gravestone in Sauquoit Valley Cemetery on Church Road, off Holman City Rd. and Old #8, confirm this date. The family graves in this cemetery have been viewed and recorded by the Compiler. Miron's birth date comes from George's bible and is confirmed as to month and year by his gravestone. Grandson George says that Miron was a cattle dealer.
     Miron is named in his mothers Will and left $1,000. Oneida Co. records show three real estate transactions under his name: On 27 April 1898, Miron was the grantee from Lottie M. Bayles, Libr 540, pg 392; on 15 May 1900 he was the Grantee on property from Georgie B. Townsend, Libr 566, pg 352; and on 28 February1906 he was Grantee from John J. Davis, Libr 615, pg 263.
     According to the 1910 census we have 1 child of this marriage missing as they say that they had 3 children and 1 living. We have only accounted for two.

     Myrtle Ann Hotchkin was born on 14 November 1899 at Chicago, Cook County, IL, USA. 1930 census gives her age as 30.¹ She was the daughter of Frank Earnest Hotchkin and Anna (Annie) Mueller. Myrtle Ann Hotchkin married Herbert Warren Williams, son of James Albert Williams and Carrie Esadie Warren, on 29 January 1916 at Lake County, IN, USA.² She married James Poling Guthrie Jr. at Chicago, Cook County, IL, on 23 April 1923. Myrtle Ann Hotchkin died on 20 June 1963 at Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, CA, USA, at age 63.¹ She was buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery (Glendale), at Glendale, Los Angeles County, CA, USA.

NY File No. 16456. 30 years old at death according to Obituary.^1,2 She was the daughter of John Albert Hotchkin and Elizabeth (Libbie) Balcom. She married John Leslie Ripson at Youngstown, Niagara County, NY, USA, on 6 September 1920.³ Myrtle Violia Hotchkin died on 26 October 1932 at Memorial Hospital, Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY, USA, at age 30. Myrtle Hotchkin Ripson died at age 30 of an automobile accident in which her husband John and daughter Carol were seriously injuried.      Nancy Hotchkin was born on 14 November 1859 at Neversink, Sullivan County, NY, USA. She was the daughter of Joshua Francis (James) Hotchkin and Nancy Leroy. She married Benjamin Pierce Schoonmaker at Hurleyville, Sullivan County, NY, USA, on 22 April 1883. The Compiler has a note that this marriage date is according to Bible records, but no further indication as to the bible.. Nancy Hotchkin died on 18 April 1909 at Neversink, Sullivan County, NY, at age 49.

     The marriage of Nancy to Schoonmaker is identified in the Will of William Mead Hotchkin as he excludes his half-sister Nancy from his Will because J. Francis left nothing to William.
