     Thomas Gould Alvord was born on 1 March 1742 at Farmington, Hartford County, CT, USA. He married Keziah Orvis at CT, USA, on 2 August 1762. Thomas Gould Alvordserved in 3rd Connecticut Regt., during the Revolutionary War.. He married Hannah Hart in 1803. Thomas died on 18 May 1810 at Homer, Cortland County, NY, USA, at age 68. He was buried at Atwater Cemetery, at Homer, Cortland County, NY, USA.

     According to DAR File 65958 of Elizabeth B Alvord Robinson; Thomas Alvord Gould entered the service 1777 in the 3rd Continental Regt for the war; was captured and in 1781, exchanged. He also served in the artillery and with his son of age fourteen. They were at West Point and in the trenches at the surrender of Cornwallis.

     Thomas Gould Alvord Jr. was born on 23 March 1763 at Farmington, Hartford County, CT, USA.1 He was the son of Thomas Gould Alvord and Keziah Orvis. Thomas Gould Alvord Jr.served in Capt Joe Thomas's Company, Col Lamb 2nd Regt, during the Revolutionary War.. He married Nancy Scoughton at Hartford County, CT, USA, on 17 June 1783. Thomas Gould Alvord Jr. died on 23 June 1835 at Homer, Cortland County, NY, USA, at age 72. He was buried at Atwater Cemetery, at Homer, Cortland County, NY, USA.

     He entered the service in 1777, in the 3rd Connecticut Regt for the war, was captured, and, in 1781 exchanged. He also served in the artillery and with him was a son of fourteen. Marilyn was a long-time resident of Clarendon Hills and restarted her professional life after her boys were grown, at the Village Hall where she worked until her retirement. She was also very active with the Community Presbyterian Church of Clarendon Hills. In addition to her roles in the church, she also enjoyed life as a community volunteer and kept an active social calendar with her many friends. Visitation Saturday Dec. 1st, from 9 to 10 a.m., at Adolf Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Ltd., 7000 S. Madison St., Willowbrook. Memorial s ervice 12 Noon at the Community Presbyterian Church, 39 N. Prospect Ave., Clarendon Hills. Interment at Oakridge Cemetery following the visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Community Presbyterian Church, would be appreciated.

     Mary was born at MA, USA, in 1785. Age 74 born in MA at the 1860 census. Her obituary said that she was 77 at death.. She married Ozem Blodgett circa 1805. She married George M. Hodgkin at NY, USA, after 1836. Mary (Polly) Anderson died on 30 January 1862 at Smithfield, Madison County, NY, USA.1 She was buried at Davis Corners Cemetery, at Peterboro, Madison County, NY, USA.

     The DAR Records, Vol 182, PG 6, says, "Mary former wife of Ozem Blodget and wife of the late George Hotchkin, died 28 January 1862 in Smithfield, NY." The Madison Morrisville Observer announced her death as Mrs. Polly Hotchkin, mother of Abram Blodgett, died this AM at Smithfield, 30 January 1862, at age 77.1

     Most of the information is found in their marriage applications of Berrien County, Michigan. Records indicated that he was born and raised in New York, and that his age at the time of marriage was 44. The name on the grave of his wife and son is Angier. His marriage application stated that his parents were G. F. Augier and Mary Sanborn.
