Wilma Bonnell, a lifetime Sullivan County resident, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2010, at the Sullivan County Adult Care Center in Liberty, NY. She was 94 years of age.

Born on January 11, 1916 in Grahamsville, NY, she was the daughter of the late George and Minnie Countryman Asthalter.

Wilma was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church; the Foster Grandparents program at Liberty Elementary School; Golden Park Senior Citizens and RSVP Seniors of Sullivan County. She was retired from her position as a retail clerk at Sullivan's Department Store in Liberty, NY.

Survivors include her grandchildren: Nina and Michael Verderber of Damascus, PA, Kippy and Jim Hemmer of Jeffersonville, Andy and Eileen Brooks of Florida, Brian and Elia Brooks of California, Kelly and Chan Edwards of Youngsville, Sean and Ellie Brooks of Monticello and Ian Brooks of Jeffersonville; 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by a son, a daughter, two brothers, a sister, and a grandchild.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, November 15, from 68 p.m., at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 275 S. Main St., Liberty.
