Mrs. Bessie Hendrick passed away Friday evening, Dec. 22, at her farm house in Ellington township.
Bessie Elnora Downing was born in Plymouth, Ohio, July 23, 1870, and came to Michigan with her parents when a little more than a year.
old. She has lived in and near Cass City since that time except three years spent in Texas with her parents. She returned with ,them to Michigan.
She was united in marriage with Egbert S. Hendrick in 1887. They lived on her fathers farm which they worked for a year or two and then moved on the farm they have since occupied until the time of their death. Mr. Hendrick died five months ago. Mrs. Hendrick is survived by six children, Mrs. Chas. Cutler Caro, Earl Hendrick of Ellington township, Oscar Hendriek of Cass City, Egbert Hendrick of Elmwood, Mrs. Duncan McIntyre of Detroit, Mrs. Omar Bullock of Elmwood; 27 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren; one brother and one sister, Mrs. O. A. Hendrick of Ellington. Four children preceded their mother in death.
Mrs. Hendrick was a member of the Mennonite church..1,3 She was buried at Ellington Twp Cemetery, at Ellington Twp, Tuscola County, MI, USA.

Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Layton Funeral Home of Minden for Daniel C. Doyle, 86, of Hastings who died Friday at the Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital. The Rev. David Hansen will officiate and burial will be in the Minden cemetery.
     Doyle was born on a farm near Heartwell and farmed in the Heartwell and Minden community until 1942 when he moved to Hastings where he was employed as an electrician at the former Naval Ammunition Depot. He was a member of the First United Mehtodist Church.
     Survivors are his granddaughter, Mrs. Roger Finningsmier of Grand Island, two great grandchildren and his sister, Mrs. Seril Nelsen of Minden.
