     Lynn was born at Delhi, Delaware County, NY, USA, on 21 November 1916. Age 13 at t he 1930 census.. He married Jean Kathryn Hotchkin at Kingston, Ulster County, NY, USA, on 13 March 1943. Lynn died on 12 August 1953 at Albany, Albany County, NY, USA, at age 36. Lynn, a resident of Delhi, died of bulbar (brainstem) polio. He was stricken with the disease and confined to an iron lung and respirator when he died at Albany Hospital a month later, his wife at his side. He was the son of Adolphus Walters Dreyfus and Ina Elliott Dreyfus. He was raised at Delhi where his father was the proprietor of a garage. Lynn graduated from Delaware Academy in 1934 and attended Hamilton College at Clinton, New York before graduating from Cornell University at Ithaca, New York in 1940. He entered the armed services in 1942 and served in the Aleutian Islands with the 87th Mountain Infantry. He later transferred to the Adjutant General’s office in California. After his discharge from service, Lynn entered into a partnership to organize the Hewitt and Dreyfus law firm. At the time of his death in 1953, he was the Delhi village attorney and Delaware County attorney. He was a member of Second Presbyterian Church at Delhi, American Legion, and director of Delhi Kiwanis Club. Lynn married to Jean Kathryn Hotchkin on 13 March 1943 at Kingston. They made their home first at Monterey, California and relocated to Delhi about 1947. Lynn and Jean were the parents of three children; two daughters and one son.

     Information from Kenneth Travis Hotchkin says that Lynn died of polio 12 years after his marriage to Jean Katherine Hotchkin. Jerrie Moore says that the death date was 1952.
