Clohecy died on 17 March 2013 at DeLand, Volusia County, FL, USA, at age 98. Edna M. (Clohecy) Gottschall of Syracuse, passed away at the home of her daughter, Lucille Chester in Deland, Florida on Sunday, March 17. She was 98 years old. She was born in Bristol, NY on September 23, 1914 and moved to Syracuse in 1937. She attended nursing school in Dansville, NY and was a homemaker for most of her life. She was an avid letter writer and kept in close contact with all her friends and family. She had a great love for the area she was born in and dearly loved to visit Bristol. She touched many people's lives and will be missed by them all. She was predeceased in 2005 by her husband of 70 years, Harry Nelson (Bill) Gottschall, and her brother, Elton Clohecy.
She is survived by daughters, Lucille (Sidney) Chester, Barbara (Bill) Lang; son, William (Pat) Gottschall; her grandchildren, Patricia Orr, Mark Orr (Joe Nappi), Kevin (Laura) Orr, David (Shari) Lang, Deborah Verrillo, Kate (Anthony) Futia, Timothy Gottschall, Jennifer Gottschall; brother, Glen (Margaret) Clohecy; several great-grandchildren, nieces and a nephew.
Funeral services will be private. She will be laid to rest with her loving husband in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse, NY.
