Frank Jones, aged 82, well known resident of Spartansburg and former postmaster, died at 8:50 am Sunday at the Meadville City hospital, where he had been a patient only a few days. His wife died on February 25, 1945. Mr Jones was born on August 4, 1863, and spent most of his life in Spartansburg. He was a member of Spartan lodge, F&AM, a member of the Consistory and a 32nd degree Mason. He leaves a son, George Frank Jones of Carmi, Ill, three grandchildren, Mrs Richard West (sic - should be 'Webb') of Elmira, NY, Virginia Rice of York and Clair Jones of Oklahoma City, and five great-grandchildren, one of whom, Richard West, Jr, made his home with Mr Jones. The body is at the Torrey funeral home in Spartansburg, where friends may call this evening.
