RINGLING -- Graveside rites for Ruth Dulaney, 83, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cornish Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Adkisson officiating.

Mrs. Dulaney died May 31, 1998, in an Ardmore health care facility. She was born to W.T. and Dora Nichols Slabaugh June 17, 1914, at Eastland, Texas.

Reared in the Randlett area, she moved to Ringling after she married Valton Dulaney on Oct. 27, 1932, at Wilson. She was a member of the Ringling Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Kay Roberts, Healdton; a grandson; and two great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her husband May 29, 1975.

Bearers will be Ronnie Harbour, Dale Faulkner, Brownie White, Audie Roberts, David Rasmusson and Jack Wilson.. She was buried at Cornish Cemetery, at Cornish, Jefferson County, OK, USA.

She was the daughter of Nathaniel Slauson and Hannah Griffen. She married Richard Fish Merritt at NY, USA, in 1857.1 Anna Augusta Slauson lived in 1900 at Rochester, Monroe County, NY, USA. At the 1900 census she is widowed and living with daughter Alice and her husband George A. Hotchkin. She died on 13 August 1917 at Durham, Greene County, NY, USA, at age 85.

     She called herself Augusta in her DAR application.
