I think that he might not be born when census taker was there as he is listed as 0 years and Olive as having no children. At the 1920 census he is a son of Charles and Olive.. He registered for the World War I Draft on 5 June 1917 while living at Eagle, Clinton County, MI, USA. The registration card gave additional information on him: "He gave his borth, 17 June 1888 in Eaton County, MI (looks like Roxan D. Twp), he is tall of medium built, blue eys and dark hair. H has a wife, father and 3 children as dependents.". He died on 22 January 1973 at Dickinson, Galveston County, TX, USA, at age 84.1 He was buried at San Leon Cemetery, at San Leon, Galveston County, TX, USA.
