He married Ruth Bartlett at Guilford, New Haven County, CT, on 29 September 1773.¹ Hon. Nathaniel Bishop was a 1st Lieut., andserved in Capt. Nathaniel Webb's Company, Col. John Durkee's Regt. of the CT Line, during the Revolutionary War. He married Nancy Pomeroy on 2 March 1797 at Middletown, Middlesex County, CT, USA. Married by Rev Enoch Huntington..¹ Hon. Nathaniel Bishop married Sarah (Sally) Landon in April 1798 at Salisbury, Litchfield County, CT, USA. Married by Adonjah Strong Esq..¹ Hon. Nathaniel Bishop died on 1 February 1826 at Richmond, Berkshire County, MA, USA, at age 74. He was buried at Center Cemetery, at Richmond, Berkshire County, MA, USA.

Son of Beriah and Lucy Bishop. Married Ruth Bartlett, daughter of Hooker Bartlett and wife Ruth Parmelee, on September 29, 1773 in Guilford, Connecticut. They had seven children: Lucy; Elizabeth; Beriah; Beriah; Hooker; Nathaniel; Henry. Wife Ruth died 15 days after the birth of her son Henry.

Nathaniel Bishop married second wife Nancy Pomeroy on March 2, 1797 in Middletown, Connecticut. They had one son, Pomeroy. Nancy died ten days after his birth.

Nathaniel married third wife Sally Landon, daughter of Ezekiel and Azuba Landon, April 1798 in Salisbury, Connecticut.

Nathaniel Bishop has been recognized by the Daughters of the American Revolution as a Patriot because of his patriotic service as a Representative in the Massachusetts State Legislature.
