The census lists the family as: Harry Hotchkin, 17 (1902), born NY, is a boarder with his father-in-laws family, garage mechanic.. He married Vivian May Keator at NY, USA, on 20 February 1923. Harry Gold Hotchkin died on 24 October 1979 at Riverview, Hillsborough County, FL, USA, at age 78.^4,2,3 He was buried at Maplewood Cemetery, at Freehold, Monmouth County, NJ, USA.

     Harry Gold Hotchkin and his children are described in "Three Centuries of the Keator Family in America." This reference says that he was the son of Frank Hotchkin. The Compiler traced his descendants by finding his Social Security records in Florida and then checking there for telephone numbers.⁵

     Harry was born at Troy, Rensselaer County, NY, USA, in 1881. Cemetery Records. He was the son of Albert Leet Hotchkin Sr. and Delia M. Smith. Harry died on 20 June 1895 at Seabeck, Kitsap County, WA, USA. Cemetery Records. This may be a mistake as an Internet Cemetery records claims a death date of Sep 1915.. He was buried at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, at Seattle, King County, WA, USA. Cemetery records give birth and death information and say that his body was removed from Kitsap cemetery and reburied here on 24 Sep 1915.. Sec 14-3.

     The Mt. Pleasant Cemetery records show Harry Howard's body removed from the Seabeck, WA cemetery on 24 September 1915 along with that of his sister Jessie and father Albert. The records give his age at death as 14, born Troy, NY. According to the records, he died of Croupous Pneumonia.

     Harry Louis Hotchkin Ens. was born on 10 September 1921 at Buffalo, Erie County, NY, USA. He was the son of Harry Vance Hotchkin and Louise Katherine Lang. Harry Louis Hotchkin Ens. died on 30 March 1945 at Fort William McKinley, Manila, Luzon, Philippines, at age 23. He was a Naval Aviator killed in. He was buried at Manila American Cemetery (ABMC), at Taguig City, Metro Manila, Philippines.

     He is called H. V. Jr. in his death notice, but Compiler beives that he has the correct name. He was named after his maternal grandfather.

Harry Thomas Merriam Hotchkin registered for the World War I Draft on 1 June 1917 while living at Chicago, Cook County, IL, USA. The registration card gave additional information on him: "Harry Hotchkin, born 2 Apr 1894 in Chicago, IL. Just graduated from MIchigan College of Mines in Houghton, MI. Member of ROTC and presently at Ft Sheriden, IL in engineering training camp.". He appeared on the census of 1920 at Chicago, Cook County, IL, USA. The census lists the family as: Hotchkin, H. T., age 35, born I, parents birth unk; Mrs H. T., age 31, born I, parents birth unk; living with Lester S. Noble.. He died on 2 October 1974 at Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, CA, USA, at age 80.^4,5,3 He was buried at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, at Frankfort, Will County, IL, USA.

     At the 1910 census he is living away from his parents with his brother Merritt W., sister Helen M., and aunt Dora. Chicago Birth Records #6236 show his birth on 2 April 1894 To Lillie and Benjamin Hotchkin as her 2nd child. Birth records use M. as initial. Social Security records also gives his birth as 2 April 1894 and death in October 1974. Texas is given as the location that he first received a SS card and CA as location of his death benefits. His death certificate gives his parents names, his occupation as a Geologist, and says that he never married.
     The 1920 census; however, has a Mrs. H. .T. Hotchkin so this may be the wrong party.
Harry was Republican Party Executive in San Antonio, TX and ran for an office in 1940. He originally supported Taft in the 1940 primary elcection and switched at the last moment to Stassen.
     He was also very active in oil well drilling and production in Texas and wrote stories about this work.

He was the son of Levi Oliver Hotchkin and Lydia A. Fee. He married Louise Katherine Lang at Buffalo, Erie County, NY, USA, on 30 August 1919.¹ Harry Vance Hotchkin appeared on the census of 1920 at Buffalo, Erie County, NY. The census lists the family as: Hotchkin, Harry V., age 25, b NY, draghtsman at Grafite Co; wife Louise K., age 24, b OH; mother in law Barbara C. Laing, age 51, b NY; brother in law Herbert W. Laing, age 20, b OH.. He registered for the World War II draft in 1942 while living at Rutherford, Bergen County, NJ, USA. His draft card had additional information: "He gave his name as Harry Vance Hotchkin, born 24 June 1894 in Prattsburg, NY. He gives Louise K. Hotchkin as his permanent contact and says that he works for the US Department of Agriculture in Bloomfield, NY.". He died on 1 November 1962 at Rutherford, Bergen County, NJ, USA, at age 68. Death location comes form grand daughter Barbara Ann.. He was buried at Hillside Cemetery, at Lyndhurst, Bergen County, NJ, USA.

Harvey Hotchkin died in 1854 at Macomb, Macomb County, MI, USA. Will probate 2 Nov 1854. He appeared on the census of 1860 at Portage, Columbia County, WI, USA. The census lists the family as: Harvey Hotchkin, 66, 1793, CT; Alethia, 70, 1789, NY. There is no real proof that this is the correct Harvey. The census index claims that they read age 60 not 66..

     Information on this family is found in the 1860 census of Portage, WI and is very uncertain. H. M. Hotchkin is tied as a son only because he lives nearby.

     Harvey A. Hotchkin was born on 30 September 1870 at Washtenaw County, MI, USA.¹ He was the son of Francis James Hotchkin and Anna Elizabeth Laing. Harvey A. Hotchkin appeared on the census of 1900 at Green Oak Twp, Livingston County, MI, USA. The census lists the family as: Hotchkin, Harvey A., age 30, b 9-1869; Laborer living with John D. Shaffer.. He married Velma May Decker at Saline, Washtenaw County, MI, USA, on 30 September 1907.² Harvey A. Hotchkin died in 1938 at Eaton County, MI, USA.³ He was buried at South Center Eaton Cemetery, at Charlotte, Eaton County, MI, USA.³

     We know that Harvey was still alive in August 1914 because he was referenced in his brothers probated Will and was living in Eaton Rapids, Eaton Co., MI at that time.

     Hattie was born at Watertown, Jefferson County, NY, USA, in 1861. She is age 9 at the 1870 census and 18 at the 1880 census and 3 at the 1865 NY census of Watertown, NY.. She was the daughter of John Little Hotchkin and Mary Catherine Robinson.

     The 1870 census calls her Hattie A., but the 1880 census calls her Hattie S.
The last trace the Compiler finds of her is the 1900 Census of Chicago, IL where she is called Hattie Hodchkin born Jan 1872 in NY. She is living with her father called a Widow and she Single with 2 Boarders and a Servant.

     Hazel Bushnell Hotchkin was born on 12 October 1893 at Indian Territory, USA. Birth date comes from 1900 census. 1910 census gives her birth year as 1892.^1,2 She was the daughter of Henry Hotchkin and Luella Johnson. Hazel Bushnell Hotchkin appeared on the census of 1910 at Seattle, King County, WA, USA. The census lists the family as: Hazel B. Hotchkin, 17 (1892), S, OK, a servant living with the Edward Cunningham family.. She married Bennett Thomas James at OR, USA, from 1911 to 1912. 1930 census, She was married at age 19, he at age 22. Caculation from his birth would give a marriage in 1909 and from her birth a marriage in 1912. We know that she was in the Cunningham home in 1910 and he living with his parents.. She resided at Whitney, Baker County, OR, USA, in 1936. Hazel Bushnell Hotchkin died on 8 March 1967 at Seattle, King County, WA, USA, at age 73.^2,3

     Hazel is mentioned in her father's Will and called Hazel James, living in Whitney, OR. Ebenezer Jr.'s notes give a name of Bennett and a daughter named Dorothy.
1900 census calls her Hazle.

     Hazel Marie Hotchkin was born on 24 October 1894 at Meadville, Crawford County, PA, USA. Meadville Tribune, 1/17/1993. Died at Westbury United Methodist Community.^1,2 She was the daughter of Albert Ladraw (Drew) Hotchkin and Elizabeth A. Gill. Hazel Marie Hotchkin died on 16 January 1993 at Meadville, Crawford County, PA, at age 98. Wesbury United Methodist Community.^3,1 She was buried at Greendale Cemetery, at Meadville, Crawford County, PA, USA.²

     She remained unmarried. Her obituary gives birth and death dates and her parents. It calls her by parents name Hotchkin. Hazel worked 49 years as a typist and stenographer for the Erie Lacawanna Railroad.

     Heather Jill Hotchkin was born on 30 October 1974 at Holy Cross Hospital, Fort Lauderdale, Broward County, FL, USA. She was the daughter of Ronald Frank Hotchkin and Carol Frankie Hotchkin. Heather Jill Hotchkin died on 2 November 1974 at Fort Lauderdale, Broward County, FL, USA.

     Family members claim that she died after 1928 but she is not with the family at the 1900 census when she would less than 18 and the family have no marriage for her.

     At the 1870 census, Helen and daughter Minnie are living with Daniel and family. At the 1880 census Mr Chase is back with the family and called Freeman or Truman. At the 1900 census he is Benjamin T.

     Goeffrey Brown in in his book on the Hotchkin family says that there are two gravestones for Helen, one says 1898-1901 and the other, a stone decorated with a fallen bird, says 1898-1899. At the 1900 census, Helen was not with the family so the best choice seems to be the 1899 date.

     Helen Jo Hotchkin is the daughter of Bernard Eugene Hotchkin and Caroline Genevive Lidtka. She married Tony Ray Kendall on 14 August 1980. Helen Jo Hotchkin married Gerald R. Morgan on 22 July 1994 at Jefferson County, TX, USA.¹

     Helen Marie Hotchkin is the daughter of Anthony Vaughn Hotchkin and Hilda Marion Roberts. Helen Marie Hotchkin married John P. Pearson on 11 June 1994 at Dakota County, MN, USA.¹

     Helen Mary Hotchkin was born on 6 November 1924 at Delhi, Delaware County, NY, USA.¹ She was the daughter of Malcolm George Hotchkin and Ruth Ann Rutherford. She married Howard Nearing Silvernail at Danbury, Fairfield County, CT, USA, on 26 November 1948.² Helen Mary Hotchkin died on 10 July 1959 at Delhi, Delaware County, NY, at age 34.      Kenneth T. Hotchkin gives this information on his sister. She and Howard had no children. Kenneth says that she died about 1962 and is buried at Delhi, NY. The exact death date comes from Brown's book.

     At the 1910 census of Chicago, she is living with brothers Harry and Merritt. Helen may have had a twin brother as the Chicago births 1871-1916 show a Harry M. (Cert #6236) with the same 7-11-1897 birth date. It is likely; however, that this is just a mistake in her name as no other sign of this brother has been found.
     A descendant of her family says that Helen was an amazing woman. She was a Founding Member of the Womans League in Utah and a Smith Metal recipient frm Smith College.

     Helen Pauline Hotchkin was born on 9 October 1915 at Jasper County, IA, USA.¹ She was the daughter of James Alfred Hotchkin and Mary Frances Duggan. She married Robert William Badger at Macon County, MO, USA, on 5 January 1932.
