Their "Intention of Marriage" was recorded in Richmond Town records..3,4 Clarinda Gaston died on 23 January 1819 at New Haven, New Haven County, CT, USA, at age 32. Her obituary in the Connecticut Curant on 2 Feb 1819, Hartford, CT says that death dates was 24 January..5,6 She was buried at Grove Street Cemetery, at New Haven, New Haven County, CT, USA.7
The marriage of Elias and Clarinda is recorded in Richmond Vital Records and records of the Little Church on the Hill, Lenox; Shepards Probate Records give a marriage date of 11 August 1807 and LDS records, 8 November 1807. Information on her birth and death was found at the Connecticut State Library under file New Haven 215, Cemetery P.218, Hotchkin, Clarinda, died 23 January 1819, age 33.4
