Mr. Gariepy was born in Centerville Pa and moved to this area in 1979 from Lake City, Pa. He wanted to be the best father. He was a retired ice cream man.

He was preceded in death by his son, Bruce Stahlman; brothers, Frank, Donald and Tommy Gariepy, sisters, Virginia Waid and Marjorie Lingo; and three grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Velma J. Gariepy, Orange City; five sons, Gary L. Gariepy of Eustis, Roy Gariepy of DeLand, Russell Stahlman of Osteen, Edward Stahlman of Crescent City and Dale Stahlman of Meadville, PA; two daughters, Jane Davis and Karen Okey, both of Dahlonega, GA; two sisters, Shirley Laird of Connesville, PA and Margaret Sterling of Tryonville, PA; three brothers, Kenneth Gariepy and Russell Gariepy, both of Lake City, PA and Robert Gariepy, Pennsylvania; 32 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren..1,2 He was buried . Obituary says burial in Beaver Pond, PA.
